Partners in Information Access for the Public Health Workforce is a collaboration of U.S. government agencies, public health organizations, and health sciences libraries which provides timely, convenient access to selected public health resources on the Internet. Resources to help you access the public health literature as well as links to titles from members of the Partners project.
Promising Practices Network (PPN)
Operated by the RAND Corp., the PPN website offers research-based information on what works to improve the lives of children and families. In addition to providing information on Programs that Work, PPN also links to additional research information in all areas related to child well-being, including their physical and mental health, academic success, and economic security. These additional resources include Research in Brief, Resources and Tools and Expert Perspectives. To promote successful implementation of best practices and model programs, PPN also screens and posts evidence-based information of effective Service Delivery. US Preventive Services Task Force
The USPSTF is an independent panel of non-Federal experts in prevention and evidence-based medicine and is composed of primary care providers (such as internists, pediatricians, family physicians, gynecologists/obstetricians, nurses, and health behavior specialists). The USPSTF conducts scientific evidence reviews of a broad range of clinical preventive health care services (such as screening, counseling, and preventive medications) and develops recommendations for primary care clinicians and health systems. These recommendations are published in the form of "Recommendation Statements."

This database, Policies and Programs to Improve Wisconsin's Health, is a summary of a wide scan of research to find evidence of effectiveness for policies and programs that address the multiple drivers of health that, in turn, affect our health outcomes. The database currently includes more than 360 policies and programs.

This is the second Status Report from the Department of Health Services on progress in implementing the State Health Plan. The 2005 report serves as a midcourse review. It analyzes data to assess progress toward achieving the 11 health priorities in the Plan, and summarizes key Department activities and issues for each of the health priorities and the five infrastructure priorities.

Healthiest Wisconsin 2020: Everyone Living Better, Longer represents the third decade of statewide community health improvement planning that is designed to benefit the health of everyone in Wisconsin and the communities in which we live, play, work, and learn. Healthiest Wisconsin 2020 declares a bold vision: Everyone Living Better, Longer, which reflects the plan’s twin goals: improve health across the life span, and eliminate health disparities and achieve health equity. The plan’s mission is to assure conditions in which people can be healthy, and members of healthy, safe, and resilient families and communities.
